The fees include all food, equipment, nappies, wipes and other necessities, however, due to a change of National Nursery policy we are not allowed to provide baby milk.

Unlike many other nurseries nationally we take the view that we are offering a complete childcare service.

In our experience it is easiest for parents to drop their children off in the morning knowing that their every need will be catered for. All we ask is that you provide a change of clothes and a pair of Wellington boots for your child.

If you are late collecting your child a fee of £10.00 per half-hour will be levied to cover the extra staffing costs incurred. The charge will be payable following the first 10 minutes of a late pick up. If a child is not collected at the end of the day by their parent/carer two nursery employees will remain on the premises with the child until they are collected.

The Nursery will await contact from the parent for instructions as to who will collect the child and when. In the event of the Nursery not being contacted by the parent and likewise not being able to contact the parent, the Nursery reserves the right to contact the local Social Services department to arrange temporary care.

Fees are payable monthly, in advance. Fees must still be paid if children are absent for a short period of time. If you are going on holiday you must pay in advance for your usual days.

Fundings and Grants:
Children aged 3 and 4 are eligible for funding from the term after their third birthday. The funding covers five sessions of 2.5 hours for 11 weeks per term i.e. funding is available for 33 weeks out of a 52 week year. At The Blue Door Nursery parents will pay the reduced rate while the grant is payable and the full rate when it is not.

The Blue Door Nursery also accepts a range of workplace issued childcare vouchers.

Payment:
We would prefer monthly payments by standing order or direct debit. An invoice will be issued at the start of each month and payments should be received by the 10th of the month. If there are problems with this method please speak to Rebecca to discuss alternatives.

If your child attends extra sessions we will expect payment for those sessions either in cash or by cheque on the day of the extra sessions. If payments are missed a nursery place will be withdrawn the following month.

Deposits:
A deposit amounting to a month’s fee is required to secure a nursery place; this deposit is not payment for the first month’s fees. The deposit is refundable and will be returned in the last month of your child’s time at The Blue Door Nursery.

Notice:
A month’s notice in writing is required when you are intending for your child to leave the nursery. Alternatively, fees in lieu will be payable.
